Matthew 3:  John, Messenger of the King

John the Baptist came to prepare the Way for Jesus. His message was one of repentance to a Nation that was not ready for Jesus’ arrival.  They were choosing false religion and pride over the Messiah.   The needed to repent, turn from, these ways and be ready for the King!
